Genius £1 tip for getting sand off your toes will be a lifesaver for parents this summer
A TRIP to the beach this Bank Holiday weekend will seem like a great idea if you're a parent – the sun, the sand and the sea is the perfect way to keep the kids entertained.
But in reality, it could turn into tears and tantrums by the end of the day as you have to fight your kids to apply sunscreen, tend to the inevitable burns, and rebuild sandcastles.
And let’s not forget sand gets everywhere – in-between toes, swimming costumes, in the sandwiches, and in the car.
Parents will do anything to keep kids happy and avoid a screaming match, which is why a £1 tip for getting sand off feet could be the saviour of your summer.
Most people will have grappled with sandy feet at the beach, tried to wash them off in the sea using a towel to try and clean them, or just given up and put our sandals on with the inevitable chafe.
But mums have come up with a genius way of banishing sandy feet for good, and you probably already have what you need at home.
Revealing the tip online, they said: “Chuck a load on your feet to help brush off the sand that's stuck to them. Works like a charm.”

While another mum said: “Tried talc on sand today… got a few weird looks but lo and behold, it did in fact work!”
Just before putting your shoes on, apply a large amount of powder to your feet, and it should start to soak up all the moisture.
That means the sand will no longer stick, and with a quick dust from the towel your feet should be sand-free.
You can pick up talcum powder from most supermarkets and chemists, but we found Johnson's baby powder for just a quid in the Poundshop.
