But Laura Kuenssberg was forced to apologise on air when she failed to call Kate Middleton by her correct title.
The BBC News' Political Editor used the royal mum-of-three's maiden name rather than the Duchess of Cambridge.
Speaking on podcast Brexitcast, the respected broadcast journalist made the blunder when discussing how the last two remaining Tory leadership candidates, Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt, will have to act as 'quasi Prime Minister' until one of them is picked to replace Theresa May.
She said: “Imagine if Johanna Konta gets to the final round of the Wimbledon ladies final.
“They will be begging for tickets in the Royal Box.
“Who is going to sit next to Kate Middleton?
“Oh my goodness, will it be Boris on one side and Jeremy on the other?”
However, the BBC's Brussels foreign correspondent was quick to point out Kuenssberg's mistake.
She apologised immediately.
