bye bye SUPER BAZOOKAS

Holly Hagan, Charlotte Crosby and Olivia Attwood lead stars ditching huge implants for ‘explants’

BIG BOOBS have dominated our TV screens for more than two decades - but is the era of the super bazooka drawing to a close?

Olivia Attwood, Charlotte Crosby and Holly Hagan are among the reality TV stars who have had breast reductions in recent months, ditching their large 'bolt-on' boobs for smaller, more natural ones.

Geordie Shore's Holly revealed she was "so, so happy" with her smaller chest, after finding her implants made exercising difficult and attracted unwanted attention.

Her co-star Charlotte has shared her relief at returning to her natural cup size following a health scare.

And Love Island's Olivia is delighted with her new "banging t**s" after having her old implants replaced with ones that better suit her slim frame.

But they're not the only ones opting for smaller implants, or returning to what they were born with.

Experts say celebs are joining a global trend for breast implant reductions, or 'explants' where implants are removed entirely.

Holly Hagan chose to reduce her cup size to give her a more natural look

While 1.5 million women worldwide had breast implants inserted in 2017, a significant 150,000 had them removed.

TOWIE's Amy Childs, 29, revealed in January that she's planning to go from FF cup implants to a CC cup, while last year Kanye West's ex Amber Rose, 35, downsized from a natural H cup to a DDD.

The Hills' surgery addict Heidi Montag, 32, has also gone from F-cup implants to a C-cup.

And let's not forget the original trailblazer for the breast reduction, Victoria Beckham, 45, who has admitted she regrets going from a 34A to a 34DD and prefers now to "celebrate what [she's] got".

Smaller, less obviously 'fake' boobs are back in fashion, and this is echoed in the Love Island villa.

Current contestants Yewande Biala and Amber Gill are being celebrated for their natural cleavage in stark contrast to the heaving chests of previous years.

"I've seen an increase in interest in smaller, more natural-looking breasts that better suit a slim, athletic physique," explains Dr Dan Marsh, plastic surgeon and co-founder of The Plastic Surgery Group.

"The 'bolt on' type just isn’t seen as fashionable any more."

Advances in breast implant technology is also something that women are making the most of as they get a new set following their ten-year shelf life.

"There are also more options available regarding the implant shapes so patients can get a more tailored result that may suit them better than the 'one size fits all' shapes of the past," notes Dr Ross Perry, founder of Cosmedics Skin Clinics.

Dr Marsh adds that most of his clients want smaller implants due to persistent back pain.

Charlotte Crosby: 'I had a health scare'

Last month, Charlotte revealed she had returned to a natural B-cup ahead of her 29th birthday.

She originally went under the knife in 2017 to correct her congenital symmastia - or ‘uniboob’.

The star had implants at the same time, but now regrets doing so.

Charlotte had her "big balloons" removed after finding herself in excruciating pain when her boob went hard.

She exclusively told the Sun Online that she was experiencing searing pains in her left breast.

“I went to the doctor and they said it was the beginning of something which means your body is rejecting the implant so it’s not something that happens instantly, it happens gradually over time,” Charlotte explained.

“He felt around the area and said there was a lot of inflammation in there. The breast itself was feeling really hot."

Of her natural boobs she says she feels "so much better in myself".

Holly Hagan: 'Don't want the attention'

Geordie Shore star Holly, 26, had a breast reduction in October 2018, going from an FF cup to a DD.

At the time, she told fans she "doesn't want that kind of attention anymore".

On Instagram earlier this week she revealed that her smaller breasts also make it easier to exercise.

Sharing a snap of her wearing a pink bikini, she wrote: "I have to just shout out my incredible surgeon @elitesurgical for reducing my boobs to the most amazing size.

"So so happy and much easier to exercise with."

The star had her first boob job when she was 17 and had undergone another by the age of 24.

Olivia Attwood: 'My back ached'

Similarly, Love Island's Olivia, 28, also decided her implants weren't worth the trouble.

The former Islander went down a cup size just three weeks ago - and has wasted no time in showing off the results while on holiday.

"I had a downsize – old ones out, new ones in, because I’d had those implants since I was 19," she told magazine.

Dr Perry adds that women are also opting to avoid going under the knife where possible too.

"People want less invasive procedures, and this is not just confined to breast implants but the cosmetic sector overall hence the rise of non-surgical procedures being carried out at the expense of surgical options, like the 'lunchtime' nose job," he explains.
