Baffled royal fans ask why George and Charlotte were left out of Prince William’s Father’s Day Instagram post
ALONG with celebrating our dear old dads, Father's Day is also a very good time to be a Royal fan.
Yesterday Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a never-before-seen snap of Archie while Prince William marked the occasion with sweet snaps of Louis and Charles.
However, fans were quick to notice that both Prince George and Princess Charlotte were noticeable absent from his Instagram post.
Posting across the Kensington Palace Instagram and Twitter accounts, Prince William shared a sweet image of himself playing with his youngest son on a swing rope in Kate Middleton's Chelsea Flower Show garden last month.
William, 36, is pictured pulling a funny face while Louis - dressed in a pair of cute red shorts and navy knitted jumper - is mesmerised by his dad's expressions.
The second image - taken in 2012 - sees Prince William and his father Prince Charles during the Duke of Cambridge's three year tour with the RAF Search and Rescue force.
And while there's no denying that both images made for a touching Father's Day post, fans were disappointed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte didn't make an appearance.
Commenting on the official Instagram post, one user wrote: "Need a portrait of Prince William with the three of his children."
Another added: "Kensington Palace made no effort at all with this post. Where are pictures of him with his two other children?"
What's more, others argued that Kate Middleton's father Michael should have featured in the post as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge share the Kensington Palace account.
"Sorry, I don't agree with the photo's choice," another critic said. "Where are Charlotte and George? Where is Kate's father?"
Similarly, another user joked: "Apparently Kate doesn't have a dad and William only has one child - happy Father's Day!"
But not everyone was so critical of the post, with some users praising the sweet photo of William and Louis.
"Love that picture of Prince Louis," one wrote.
"Great to see the Duke of Cambridge with his son and playing like a boss," another chimed in.
