IT WAS where Ross and Rachel first kissed, where Phoebe sung Smelly Cat and where the whole cast used to hang out sharing jokes.
But now Central Perk has come to Manchester's Primark as the store is opening a Friends-themed cafe and fans of the classic 1990s TV show couldn’t BE more excited.
A first look inside the new Central Perk café reveals it will look just like the one on the set, with exposed brick-style walls, a wood-panelled bar liked the one Gunther used to sell coffees from.
A chalkboard menu filled with New York-themed treats will be on the wall and plenty of coffee tables with comfy chairs will fill the space.
Visitors can even get a photo on the famous orange sofa, like the one at the centre of many a funny moment, heartfelt chat, make up and break up in the series.
Unfortunately the coffee won't be served by Jennifer Aniston but you can tuck into snacks and sip from Central Perk, Manchester-branded cups – the cups are compostable while the coffee is ethically-sourced, according to the retailer.
People will also be able to buy Friends merchandise in a dedicated shopping area, with items ranging from mugs to clothing.
Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement.
“Believe me when I say I am absolutely buzzing”, said one Twitter user.
“You don’t even know how excited I am,” another added.
The cafe, which is being launched in partnership with Warner Bros, will be the first of its kind on the UK high street and will be exclusive to fashion retail in the UK, Primark says.
The launch coincides with the 25th anniversary year of Friends which first aired in 1994.
More than 52million people watched the finale in the US in 2004 and Friends has since attracted a new generation of viewers after all the episodes were added to streaming service Netflix.
While it sparked some controversy among millenials, Friends was still the most-streamed show on Netflix in the UK in the first part of 2018, .
Sadly though this might as close as we ever get to revisiting the much-loved show, after Jennifer Aniston confirmed there were “no plans” for a reunion.
The actress, who played Rachel in the show, had previously teased fans by telling Ellen DeGeneres that the cast could be getting back together again, but has since told Entertainment Tonight that it won’t be happening “in the immediate future” and apologised for getting people excited.
In more food news, Disney World is now selling giant pink Mickey Mouse doughnuts in pizza boxes and they look amazing.
Also, here's how you can buy a DIY wedding cake kit for just £50.
And Tesco is now selling halloumi fries in stores… and fans are rejoicing.
