DUCHESS Meghan has opted for a modern “yummy mummy” pram for baby Archie rather than the old-fashioned model beloved by the royals.
Dubbed the “Rolls-Royce” of prams, Silver Cross has been the royal choice for every baby from the Queen through to Princes William, Harry and the Cambridge kids.
Bugaboo Fox, currently £1,119 from Mamas and Papas -
The choice of posh London mums, it boasts a carry cot, buggy base and “all-wheel suspension” to “take it anywhere, from city streets to snowy trails.”
Kate chose a more traditional £1,600 Silver Cross sleepover elegance for Prince George.
After his birth in 2013, Silver Cross’s head of design went to the Middleton family home in Bucklebury to present the pram to Kate’s mum Carole and talk her through all the features, including a specially requested insect net.
“She looks great and she’s enjoying these precious new-born weeks.
The new pram is great and perfect for her long walks trying to get Archie to sleep.
“The Bugaboo was a gift to Harry and Meghan, even before they’d had Archie, from a close friend.
“She’d used it herself for her kids and thought it was the best buggy.
“Meg has recovered well from the birth and feels very lucky that the breast-feeding is going OK, as she knows that many women struggle with it and put too much pressure on themselves.
