She explained: "My relationship with my in-laws is kind of complicated. I love them, but they are very opinionated people, and they've been known to make little comments on my weight, clothing, etc."

What's more, the woman's mother and father-in-law live just three doors down from them which often results in her partner "oversharing" details about their relationship... including their sex life.

"Last week, he told them about a sexual issue we're having," the woman wrote. "I know this because my mother-in-law approached and started telling me that she thinks the problem is due to my weight and that sex would be better if I wasn't a 'bigger girl'."

Unsurprisingly, the woman simply "thanked her for the advice" but was "LIVID" with her partner.

She added: "My husband shouldn't share these things with his parents and I can't help but wonder if he complained about my weight to them."

In response, the woman then decided to get revenge on her husband by telling his mother ANOTHER intimate detail of their sex life.

Questioning whether she was "the a******" in the situation, the woman wrote: ";A few days ago, the in-laws came over for a barbecue.

"[Mother-in-law] and I were getting the table ready and I 'casually' brought up the sex issue again. I managed to work in that my hubby has a very specific fetish that some people would find gross."

Although the woman doesn't explicitly state what exactly the fetish is, she did admit that "it's something people usually do in the bathroom" - leading other users to question if "it involves peeing".

I wanted him to know what it felt like to be humiliated

The woman added: ";She seemed shocked but I knew she would bring it up with my husband and I wanted him to know what it felt like to be humiliated."

Unsurprisingly, the woman's plan worked and her husband "is really mad at me" and "threatening to leave and stay with a buddy".

She concluded: "I think he lost all the right to be mad when he shared our personal business with his parents and insulted my body to them... but am I the a******?"

The dilemma has racked up hundreds of responses from users who claim that the couple are equally in the wrong.

One replied: "He overshared and needed to be reminded that this is NOT okay. But instead of sitting down and talking about it, you went for petty revenge."

Another added: "If you think it's an a***** move to divulge intimate details like that to them (which I agree, is an a***** move) then you are indeed an a****** for doing the same thing."
