From Meghan Markle to Kim Kardashian, celebrity’s favourite budget beauty buys revealed
From a £7 lotion to a £9.99 mascara, find out the budget products celebrities swear by
STARTING to feel fed up with buying into celebrity-endorsed beauty products that yield no results? Us too.
From recommending £150 face creams to £60 foundations, a lot of celebs are out of touch when it comes to affordable beauty. But what if we told you it is easier to achieve A-list results than you might think? Here, SHANNON LAWLOR rounds up the celebs that love a bargain as much as we do and reveals the budget beauty hero products they swear by.
Duchess of Sussex
YOU might expect the Duchess of Sussex to have a cosmetics bag fit for a queen, but Meg’s products don’t always come with a royal price tag.
To look after her body she uses Nivea Q10+ Vitamin C Body Lotion. Meghan has said: “It’s honestly my favourite lotion on the market – it’s so affordable and makes my skin look and feel amazing.”
And what about those fluttery lashes? Last year, Meghan’s make-up artist, Lydia Sellers told Hello! magazine: “Meghan actually introduced me to Maybelline’s Lash Sen-sational Luscious Mascara. It helps to amplify your lashes.”
We’re sold.
- Nivea Q10+ Vitamin C Body Lotion, £7 from Sainsbury's -
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara, £7.99 from Superdrug -
Beyonce
IF you assumed Queen Bey’s beauty regime was so far out of this world that us mere mortals wouldn’t be able to imagine those levels of luxe, you might want to think again. Frankly, if budget make-up is good enough for Beyonce, it’s good enough for anyone.
And according to an interview with her long-serving make-up artist, Sir John, the singer made an affordable lash choice for that 2018 Coachella performance. He told website Refinery29: “I used the Lash Paradise mascara by L’Oreal.” Don’t mind us while we clear the shelves of that one.
And what about her Flawless base? It turns out the secret to Bey’s glow lies in the hands of budget moisturiser Eucerin Aquaphor. Beyonce told Elle magazine that she goes to bed “looking totally greasy” thanks to her love for the stuff.
And it seems time hasn’t changed a thing, with Sir John revealing to Get The Gloss that he mixes the deeply nourishing balm with a little highlight to help the singer achieve her signature glow.

- Eucerin Aquaphor Skin Balm, £8.99 from Superdrug -
Kim Kardashian
KIM’S favourite Guerlain face cream costs a cool £272. But while the reality star might have expensive taste, she also loves a budget buy too.
When it comes to her everyday lashes, she used L’Oreal Paris Voluminous X5 Carbon Black Mascara.
Last year she wrote on her website: “The colour is the perfect shade of black.” And to ensure her body is Instagram-ready at all times, Kim swears by Bio-Oil. She wrote on her site last year: “It just makes my skin glow, and it has so many benefits”.

- Bio-Oil, £8.99 from Boots -
Victoria Beckham
WHILE you’re waiting patiently for Victoria to bring out the beauty line she teased back in February, why not take inspiration from her existing faves?
Cheap face wipes can wreak havoc with your skin. But Posh revealed: “The only face wipes that actually take off all my makeup are the Bioderma ones. I always use a cleanser after, but these wipes really get everything off.”
She also uses Weleda Skin Food as a body moisturiser to prolong her tan.
She said: “The formula is so thick and buttery. When I have a tan, I’ll mix it with coconut oil – the same you use to cook with – and cover my entire body with it.”
- Bioderma Sensibio Wipes, £7.20 from Boots -
- Weleda Skin Food, £7.95 from Look-Fantastic.com -
Holly Willoughby
WHILE it’s no secret Holly loves an affordable fashion buy, it turns out she likes to save the pennies outside of the wardrobe too.
Her secret weapon for a perfect red lip is actually Burt’s Bees Lipstick. She has said: “It feels just like a lip balm.” And for her glowing complexion she revealed: “I use the Garnier BB Cream religiously.”
- Burt’s Bees Lipstick, £9.99 from Boots -
- Garnier BB Cream, £9.99 from Superdrug -

Michelle Keegan
GIVEN her enviable complexion, luscious locks and trademark golden glow, you’d expect Michelle’s beauty regime to be high maintenance.
But it seems she likes to keep things as affordable as possible, telling Women’s Health magazine she uses The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser.
She said: “I can tell the difference once I take it off, my skin is really rejuvenated.”
And she’s a fan of disposable sheet masks, especially one from Charlotte Tilbury costing £18, but also uses a purse-friendly option too. “Simple do a great hydrating sheet,” she said.
