Prince Harry ‘can’t take his eyes off Archie’ and Meghan Markle is in ‘sheer state of delight’ after welcoming her first child, close friend reveals
Prince Harry's close friend Nacho Figueras revealed that the couple are totally besotted with their new arrival
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry are "in a sheer state of delight" since welcoming their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor into the world earlier this month.
Since Archie arrived on 6 May, Harry and Meghan have had several visitors to their Frogmore Cottage home, including their close friend and professional polo player Nacho Figueras.
Earlier this week, Prince Harry joined his friend Nacho and jetted off to Italy to participate in a charity polo match for his charity Sentebale to raise funds for vulnerable children in Southern Africa.
The chairman of the charity Jonny Hornby - who has yet to meet Archie - told that the couple are clearly absolutely besotted with their son.
He told the American magazine: "Nacho met little Archie last week and said that the Duke couldn't take his eyes off of him - nor his hands.
"The two of them are just in a state of sheer delight over this birth."
What's more, Harry's close friend and Sentebale Ambassador says that the Duke has always been a natural with children.
Nacho added: "The Duke is the kind of father I always imagined he would be.
"He has a great love for children and a great understanding of them. I noticed that becoming a father has influenced him and his dedication and love for the project is now stronger than ever."
Prince Harry founded the charity Sentebale in 2006 to support vulnerable children and orphans affected by AIDS and HIV in Africa and the annual polo event has raised over £6million in the nine years it has been running.
Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina are among a select few guests who have met Archie, including Meghan's best friend Jessica Mulroney - who flew to London from Canada with her daughter last week to meet the royal baby for the first time.
