A MUM has told how here mixed race babies look totally different - because her son has dark skin and brown eyes whereas her daughter has light skin and blue eyes.
Mum Sarah Jones is constantly asked if she is mum to both son Malachi and daughter Malaysia.
The cute twins have completely different appearances as a result amazing phenomenon which rarely occurs in pregnancy but is possible in twins.
But it's not unusual in Sarah's family - her six-year-old is dark-skinned and her two-year-old fair-skinned.
"All four of my kids are total opposites, but best friends," she told .
She told the site how she was repeatedly asked if the twins were related.
"Some of these we know, and some of them we don't yet know, and at each of these genes, that are influencing the colour of our skin, there tends to be two or more variants. One of which is producing a darker skin tone, and one of which is producing a lighter skin tone.
"I think of it as a deck of cards. Imagine you are at the casino and you have been dealt a hand of cards, some will be black, and some red."
