Mum transforms her ‘shameful’ limescale-ridden shower head with £1 disinfectant
AFTER scrubbing the toilet and mopping the kitchen floor, cleaning our showers features pretty highly on the list of household chores we absolutely hate. Right?
Well if you're also guilty of overlooking this tedious chore to the point of embarrassment, one mum has revealed her savvy cleaning tip for getting your bathroom glistening again in no time.
Posting on the Facebook group , the mum revealed how she'd neglected cleaning her shower head to the point that it was "shameful".
The black rubber shower head had an unsightly build-up of limescale around each and every outside nozzle.
And we can't help but agree with the mum's use of vomiting emoji as she shared the photo with the group's 85,000 members.
But where we previously would have assumed that there was no salvaging a shower head this horrifying, the mum got it looking brand new in no time thanks to an affordable disinfectant.
That's right - as if we weren't already taking notes from "cleanfluencer" Mrs Hinch and dousing Zoflora all over our homes, it now appears that it's actually has pretty powerful cleaning properties.
Where other users questioned how the mum was able to achieve the sparkling results with a disinfectant, the mum explained how she soaked the shower head in a Zoflora concentrate.
She wrote: "Popped it in a bowl of neat Zoflora.
Meanwhile, the Zoflora website recommends: "Unscrew the shower head and soak it in a bucket of Zoflora solution. Then rinse out with clean water."
Alternatively, a diluted Zoflora solution can also be sprayed onto bathroom sinks, taps and toilet handles to give them a sparkling shine.
Unsurprisingly, other mums - who had been using the affordable disinfectants to make their home smell heavenly - were blown away by the revelation.
One joked: "This has triggered me."
Another added: "Gosh a must try... didn't think of Zoflora for that..."
