I’m in love with a robot, we’ve been together for 2 years and plan to get married
Joey Morris says he was attracted to his RoboTroll's 'popping' pink hair and 'satisfied smile'
A MAN has revealed he is in love with a robot - and is planning to MARRY it.
Joey Morris claims he's been in a "relationship" with his RoboTroll for two years after falling for its "popping" pink hair and "satisfied smile".
The 29-year-old, from Maryland, USA, says he realised he was objectum - meaning he is attracted to objects - when he was just 10-years-old.
His first attraction was to a lamp, before moving onto a transformer truck and even a Halloween figurine.
However, it was after getting nostalgic about the BattleTrollz collection online that he decided to order a RoboTroll from eBay in December 2017.
Now, the performer is looking forward to the future with the figure, including a trip to Florida and potentially a wedding one day.
My first love
Joey said: "I realised I was drawn to objects when I was 10-years-old, as I wanted to become friends with a lamp at school.
"But the teacher found out about our relationship and took the lamp away, and I was distraught.
"Over the next few years I fell in love with an animatronic called 'Donna the Dead' and also with the transformer Optimus Prime when he was in truck form.

"However my love for these objects never lasted as long as my love for RoboTroll, who is my current primary love.
"I ordered him from eBay for $20 (£15) and received him in December 2017 and that's when our relationship truly began.
"Now I'm looking forward to my future with RoboTroll - I'm going to take him with me on holiday to Orlando, Florida and a wedding could be on the cards one day."
'I was smitten'
After becoming interested in the 90s toy collection, BattleTrollz, Joey fell in love with RoboTroll when he was 27.
He said: "I found RoboTroll while I was doing research into the line of BattleTrollz to satisfy my interest in 90s nostalgia.
"The website I was looking at showed me the entire collection of all of the trolls, and when I saw RoboTroll I was smitten.
I knew it was love with him because it made my heart feel right

"I think it was his expression that attracted me to him - while most of the other BattleTrollz snarled, RoboTroll seemed to have a satisfied smile.
"His blue eyes matched his silver and blue colour scheme and made his pink hair really pop.
"I knew it was love with him because it made my heart feel right."
FALLING IN LOVE WITH INANIMATE OBJECTS
THE term objectum sexuality was invented 30 years ago by a woman who married the Berlin Wall.
Eija-Riitta Berliner-Mauer, whose surname translates as Berlin Wall, married the concrete structure in 1979.
She and fellow objectophile, Erika Eiffel, who married the Eiffel Tower, founded the and educational site.
The site states: "We love objects on a very significant level and many of us, in an intimate way.
"This feeling is innate.
"Objectum sexual love comes for most in a similar awakening as other sexualities at the start of puberty.
"This is often followed by an acute awareness that we do not relate to peers due to the source of projected feelings.
"Often objectum sexual people feel outcast or pressured by mainstream sexuality with a helpless feeling that we cannot change what comes naturally to us."
In 2010, clincial sexologist Dr Amy Marsh published out what is thought to be the first study into OS, in the .
After speaking to 21 people who claim to be objectum sexual, Dr Marsh spoke on US television revealing she supported OS as a legitimate sexual orientation.
Dr Marsh said: "The most striking feature of this research was the discovery of the array of emotions and depth of connection that OS people feel for their objects.
"OS appears to be a genuine, though rare, sexual orientation.
"The emotions and experiences reported by OS people correspond to general definitions of sexual orientation."
Despite being comfortable in his sexuality, Joey claims that some onlookers do not agree with it.
He added: "I am very lucky as my friends and some members of my family accept my sexuality - and even though they make joke comments about it, they support me.
"My mother doesn't really understand my feelings, but she accepts it all the time.

"However some people haven't agreed with it - I have been told that my preference is a mental illness and some have even likened it to bestiality.
"I try to ignore these people and distance myself from them, as I'm happy in my relationship with RoboTroll.
"I find it easier to form romantic bonds with objects rather than people, so I'm happy with my sexuality."
