Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘chatted for hours over chilled rosé’ on their second date, new book reveals
Katie Nicholl claims the pair enjoyed a date at member's club Soho House in London
THE DUKE and Duchess of Sussex 'chatted for hours' while sipping on rosé wine for their second date, a tell-all book has revealed.
In an extract from Katie Nicholl's Meghan and Harry: Life, Loss and Love, the royal expert claims the pair enjoyed a date at member's club Soho House in London, weeks after being set up for the first time.
The couple's mutual friend Markus Anderson - who works at the exclusive club - is said to have arranged a discreet table for Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan, Markle, 37, where they could 'chat for hours'.
The pair were first pictured together outside the club in February 2017 months after they were reportedly set up by fashion PR and baron's daughter Violet von Westenholz.
According to , Katie's book details: "They quickly arranged to see each other again (after the first date), this time at Soho House in London where another of their mutual friends Markus Anderson works.
"Anderson arranged for them to have a discreet table at the private member's club, and because there is a no cameras policy, the couple enjoyed a relaxed date without the worry of being photographed.
"Over a bottle of chilled rosé they chatted for hours confirming to Harry that he had indeed met someone special."
Canadian Markus Anderson, 41, has previously been described as the second most important man in Meghan Markle's life after her husband Prince Harry.
A Soho House consultant with a list of 'impeccable' contacts, Markus was by Meghan's side at her first appearance with the Duke of Sussex at the Invictus Games in 2017, and also attended her recent baby shower in New York.
Daughter of former Olympic skier Baron Piers von Westenholz, Violet, 34, is a close personal friend of Prince Harry thanks to her father's connection to the Prince of Wales.
She also reportedly worked with Meghan before helping to set the pair up - meeting her whilst directing press relations with Ralph Lauren.
Violet is thought to have worked with the Duchess on June 30 2016, just days before the blind date with Harry is thought to have happened, in July 2016.
Following their second date, where conversation flowed along with the wine, the couple are thought to have become regulars at the Soho House club.
So much so that they are rumoured to have hired the venue's designer Vicky Charles to transform their new home Frogmore Cottage, including the room that will soon be their child's.
