The Hills’ Heidi Montag’s jaw-dropping transformation after she spent £23k on TEN plastic surgeries – here’s how different the rest of the girls look ahead of reunion
It's almost been 13 YEARS since The Hills first hit screens and some of these cast members don't look like they've aged a day
IT was the hit reality show that defined our teenage years – and in just a few short months, The Hills will finally return to our screens.
But while Lauren Conrad and her gal pals taught us countless valuable life lessons (i.e. “NEVER choose a guy over a friend”), it’s Heidi Montag’s extreme transformation that’s really stayed with us all these years.
When she made her television debut in 2005, Heidi Montag, 32, was a fresh-faced 19-year-old from a small town in Colorado.
She first met Lauren Conrad – who was then starring in MTV reality series Laguna Beach – when they both attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Their friendship then became the basis for the hit spin-off series The Hills which documented Lauren’s move to Los Angeles and the lives of co-stars Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port.
But while a steady average of two MILLION people people tuned in to watch the relatable friendship and romantic drama unfold, Heidi admitted that she became to struggle with the pressures of fame.
In a 2010 interview with , Heidi – who met her partner Spencer Pratt while starring in The Hills -said: “It really got to me what people would say about me and saying I had a horse face and a Jay Leno chin.
“Just awful mean things about me. I kind of started believing it.”
After season one wrapped in August 2006, Heidi went under the knife for the first time and had a nose job, a breast augmentation to increase her size A boobs to a 32C, and began having regular collagen lip injections.
Before the age of 21, Heidi had had her first taste of cosmetic surgery and admitted that she then became “absolutely beyond obsessed” with having more work done.
In 2009, the reality star hit headlines all over the world when she booked in to have 10 cosmetic procedures in less than 24 hours.
Heidi’s multiple surgeries – which were estimated to have cost over £23,000 – included a second nose job, a chin reduction, a mini brow lift, liposuction in her neck, waist, hips and thighs.
The star also had hear ears pinned back as well as having another breast augmentation to increase her cup size from a 32C to a DDD.
Facing her , Heidi admitted on camera that she wanted “to look like Barbie” and would have had larger breast implants “but they couldn’t fit in”.
Despite spending a fortune on cosmetic surgery, Heidi insists that her partner Spencer Pratt always saw her natural beauty.
In a 2010 interview with People magazine, Heidi said: “Honestly, the way I got Spencer. I had no surgery. It was my inner beauty that he loved.”
The couple first met at Hollywood club Privilege in 2007 and tied the knot on screen in a lavish Los Angeles ceremony in April 2009.
Along with founding their own healing crystal company called and making a short-lived appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, Heidi and Spencer welcomed their first child Gunner Stone in October 2017.
Although Heidi Montag looks drastically different from her television debut, fellow co-star Lauren Conrad looks almost the same.
Swapping her noughties headbands for a chic long bob, 33-year-old Lauren announced yesterday that’s she expecting her second child with husband William Tell.
The couple – who first met when Lauren attended one of his concerts aged 16 – already have son Liam James Tell and married in 2014.
Sadly for The Hills fans, Lauren is far too busy with her Kohl’s make-up collection, fashion brand The Little Market and her blog for reality television these days and won’t be returning in the reboot.
Luckily, another familiar set to return to the small screen is Audrina Patridge.
Similarly to co-star Lauren Conrad, Audrina, 33, grew up in Orange County, California and was scouted by MTV producer Adam Divello while lounging by a pool at the age of 19.
Since the show ended, Audrina went on to star in her own reality show and also appeared on Dancing With The Stars.
Fed up of Justin Bobby’s playboy ways, Audrina settled down with Corey Bohan – who also made a few cameos on the show – but the two split last year.
Spencer’s little sister Stephanie, 32, also rose to prominence in the The Hills – even after her efforts to reunite Lauren and Heidi went awry.
The reality star – who also appeared on Made in Chelsea from 2014 – has been open about her struggles with drug addiction and eating disorders in the past.
Stephanie told the Daily Mail in 2009 that she felt “embarrassed working with skinny girls”.
Reflecting on her time on camera, Stephanie said: “I was horrified. I remember saying, ‘I can’t believe how huge I look walking next to Lauren.'”
Stephanie’s appearance may have dramatically altered since she first shot to fame in 2006 but she’s always denied having any plastic surgery.
Key cast member Whitney Port, 33, is another one of the show’s original stars who has signed up for the MTV reboot hitting screens in June.
Whitney first met Lauren during their internships at Teen Vogue and – like Audrina – was given her own spin-off show called The City when she moved to New York to work for Diane von Furstenburg.
Since then, Whitney appeared as a judge on Britain’s Next Top model and married The City producer Tim Rosenman in November 2015.
They had their first child, Sonny Sanford, in July last year – and Whitney confirmed she will be returning to The Hills this summer… *squeals with excitement*
In more celebrity news, Stacey Dooley has said the obsession with her accent is “f***ing boring” and that the BBC is dominated by a male Oxbridge elite.
And from Kate Beckinsale to Carol Vordeman, these celebs have aged beautifully just like The Sun’s Lorraine Kelly.
Plus Kate Middleton “first set eyes on William when she was nine after he came to play sports at her school”, a royal commentator has claimed.
