WEAR AND HEIR

From Kate Middleton’s coat to Prince William’s purple tie and Camilla’s shoes, we reveal the thrifty Royals recycling their wardrobe

This week we revealed Prince Charles, 70, went swimming in trunks that were 16 years old, but he's not the only Royal getting the most out of their wardrobe

HE may be a prince, but he’s a thrifty one.

This week we revealed Prince Charles, 70, went swimming in trunks that were 16 years old.

He is certainly getting the most out of the pair, which would have cost £180 back in 2003 — as he does with his favourite grey suit.

And he is not the only royal recycling their wardrobe, as we demonstrate here.

Chanel shoes are pricey, so it is good to see Camilla, 71, getting her money’s worth over a 13-year period.

Prince Harry, 34, shows it is not just Elvis who likes a blue suede shoe — he’s been wearing his since 2016.

Prince Philip, 97, pulls a Peaky Blinder with his choice of hat, keeping it consistent since 1984.

And Prince William, 36, has stuck with the same purple tie for nine years.

But the most prolific recycler is wife Kate, 37.

She has worn her pale lemon dress coat on a whole host of special occasions, including Prince Harry’s wedding. Well, if it is not broke, why fix it?
