George Clooney says Meghan Markle doesn’t care what the media says about her and ‘takes everything in her stride’

MEGHAN Markle isn't bothered about negative press and "takes everything in her stride", according to George Clooney.
The pregnant Duchess of Sussex, 37, who shot to fame as a leading character in US drama Suits in 2011, has spent enough years in the spotlight to prepare her for joining the Royal Family, her pal added.
Meghan and Prince Harry, 36, are good friends with George and his wife Amal - who were guests at the Royal Wedding and invited the couple to holiday at their Lake Como villa over the summer.
While Amal Clooney was one of the few select guests at Meghan’s star-studded baby shower in New York last month, even flying pregnant Meghan back to the UK on a private jet.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Friday, silver fox George, 57, said of Meghan: "She was an actress long before this and she's been in the public spotlight for a long time.
"She's a grown up and knows how to handle it (the press) so I think she's absolutely fine.
"She's not a complainer, she takes everything in stride. They're a really good couple, they're really nice and they're really fun."
The Ocean's Eleven star also praised Meghan as "a really kind and smart, intelligent woman" and said the public reaction to her had been "a little unjust".
He said: "It seemed to me a little unjust, she hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life.
"Most of it you can just shrug off and not pay attention to, but sometimes its unkind."
