Princess Diana snuck ‘secret lover’ Hasnat Khan into Kensington Palace under a blanket, claims royal author
PRINCESS Diana used to sneak in lover Hasnat Khan into Kensington Palace beneath a blanket in the back of a car, a royal writer has claimed.
Ingrid Seward also revealed that the Princess of Wales admitted being much more "worried" about Prince William than Harry.
Speaking to Yahoo’s , the royal expert and former editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine opened up about a "girly chat" she had had with Diana at Kensington Palace before her death in 1997 - revealing that the late princess spoke about how she kept her relationship with her doctor boyfriend a secret.
"I had a really personal time with her when I wrote something she didn’t like in the Daily Mail," explained Ingrid.
"Her secretary rang me up and said ‘her Royal Highness thinks it’s time you had a girly chat, Ingrid, so come to Kensington palace next week.’
"Well you’re not going to say no to that are you? We did have a girly chat and what happened was she thought I knew about her lover Hasnat Khan... because I written that men were being driven into the Kensington Palace under a blanket at the back of the car which was true but I didn’t know it was Hasnat.
"So we just talked about everything, absolutely everything, we talked about Prince Charles, we talked about Highgrove, we talked about William and Harry, we talked about my daughter.
"That’s when she told that… ‘Harry’s...he’s fine - it’s William I’m worried about’ because she was more worried about him then.”
Ingrid also revealed her experience meeting the Queen on several occasions.
"She is different depending on the circumstances," the jouranalist said.
"If you meet her officially she’s formal, and tiny and beautiful. And you talk about horses. That’s what I can always talk about with her."
Ingrid added: "When I met her at a semi private party, and everyone had a nickname - she spoke in riddles and this is what it feels like to be one of her friends.”
She also believes that Prince Harry will be a "protective" father to his first child with Meghan Markle.
“I think Harry will be supremely protective when he becomes a father," Ingrid said.
"He’s pretty protective now. And he’s very conscious of the media, and Megan and the upsets and the nastiness. And he’s never liked the media anyway and you can’t blame him.”
