Kate Middleton ‘wore full makeup and a maroon costume’ as she took George and Charlotte swimming at luxury Norfolk spa during half-term, sources claim
INSTEAD of their usual half-term ski trip Prince William and Kate Middleton are believed to have stayed closer to home for the school holidays.
The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted by an onlooker at a luxury Norfolk spa taking Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three, to the pool.
The source claimed Kate, 37, was wearing "full makeup and a maroon costume" as she took her two eldest swimming, close by to their home Anmer Hall.
The witness revealed to the : "Kate looked stunning. She had full make up one while she was in the pool. And she had drop pearl earrings and her engagement ring.
"Her hair was up in a butterfly type hair clip and looked extremely elegant."
The mum-of-three reportedly tried to blend in with other families, but other swimmers quickly noticed the royal trio.
Kate kept the kids, who were "impeccably behaved", entertained by organising races in the pool and allowing them to practise diving, and were both unaided without armbands.
They said that George won all the races showing off a skilled doggy paddle, while Charlotte did sitting dives from the water's edge.
"Kate was very encouraging. At one point George went under and Kate had to grab him, he became a bit tearful and clung to her but then he soon went off again," they said.
The onlooker also claimed that George and Charlotte accompanied Kate in the sauna, despite it not reportedly being accessible to children under the age of 14.
Kensington Palace declined to comment.
It comes amid reports that Kate had missed Meghan Markle's New York baby shower to go on a secret ski trip with William.
Kate was visibly absent from the celebrations in New York, which boasted a star-studded guest list of Meghan's closest pals.
It appears Kate decided to give the baby shower a miss in favour of spending the half term break with her brood.
She and Wills, 36, blocked out their diaries to ensure they spent quality time with their children, who were off school and return back today.
