A WOMAN has claimed she cured her acne using items you’d usually use put on your chips – salt and vinegar.

YouTube account Tweezist shared the story of a woman who said she’s grown up with “horribly oily/acne/sensitive skin”.

She shared dramatic before and after shots of her skin and how she used the bizarre technique to get a clearer complexion.

The unnamed woman said she grew up with pimples all over her face, and it was her brother who recommended the unconventional treatment.

She decided to give it a go for two weeks to see if it made any difference, and said she is now “free from acne!”

The woman explained you should start by washing your face as usual, and then put half a cup of hot (but not boiling) water in a mug.

Then dissolve two tablespoons of salt into the water and stir until the solution is clear.

Next you should soak cotton pads into the solution and squeeze off any excess liquid, before applying the pads to any acne-prone parts of your face.

She then advised “after the cotton pads become cold, damp and repeat”.

The woman said she repeats this for about 20 minutes, before dissolving a few drops of vinegar into a sink of warm water to rinse her face.

Finally, you should pat your face dry with a towel, and then apply moisturiser.

The woman said: “Vinegar makes the skin pH-balanced. You can use vinegar to wash your hair and body too.

“Salt dries up excess skin oil and is antibacterial.

“I tried this for two weeks everyday, then no more pimple, no more puss on the mirror”.
