Prince Harry will spend his first Valentine’s Day as a married man AWAY from pregnant Meghan Markle despite her admitting she’s a ‘sucker’ for romance
While Prince Harry will spend the most romantic day of the year visiting the Royal Marine base in Norway, Meghan Markle said she'd prefer to be in 'Paris if she had her way'
HIS first Valentine's Day as a married man might be just around the corner but it turns out Prince Harry won't be spending the romantic holiday with his pregnant wife Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex will pay a visit to the Royal Marines base in the Arctic Circle to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Exercise Clockwork - which just happens to take place on the most romantic day of the year.
Since it was first established in 1969, this gruelling winter training session - which is based 200 miles inside the Arctic Circle - has taught over 16,000 Royal Marines and Royal Navy sailors in how to survive extremely cold conditions.
Along with visiting specialist aircrafts and snow vehicles, Prince Harry will also meet the military personnel who live on the site six months out of the year.
And considering how Prince Harry faced temperatures as low as -35C on his treks through the North Pole in 2011, he'll no doubt take the Arctic Circle's extremely cold conditions all in his stride.
But while it will be business as usual for the Duke of Sussex this Valentine's Day, his wife Meghan Markle has previously admitted to being a total "sucker" for the romance of the day.
Back in 2015, the former Suits actress wrote on her lifestyle blog The Tig: "Hook, line and sinker, I am such a sucker for Valentine's Day.
"Without fail, every February 14th, I wake up feeling like I'm immersed in a Robert Doisneau photo, waiting with bated breath to be dipped into a kiss.
"This is all happening in black and white, of course."
Romantic French photographers aside, the Duchess of Sussex also said she'd be spending the day "in Paris, if I had my way."
Luckily for Meghan, Prince Harry is expected to return home from his trip that very same evening.
In more Royal Family news, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have been receiving thousands of "sexist and racist" comments on Kensington Palace's social media feeds every day.
Plus Meghan Markle's favourite London nightclub has been revealed as a "sweaty, grungy" Soho haunt - full of "red-lipped tough birds".
And Meghan Markle saved dozens of women from a future of human trafficking, abuse and forced labour by wearing a pair of jeans.
