Woman, 51, who gave birth to four babies using IVF reveals she gets through 224 bottles of milk a WEEK
Tracy Britten, who conceived her quadruplets via £7,000 IVF, has revealed she gets through 224 bottles of formula milk a week
BRITAIN’S oldest mum of quads has revealed how she feeds her brood 224 bottles of formula milk a WEEK.
Tracey Britten, 51, also changed 168 nappies (costing £100 a week), dressed them 56 times and bathes them 28 times.
And she does it all on just THREE hours of sleep a night.
Speaking to the , Tracey said: "You do have moments late at night when you think: “Oh my God, what have I done? It’s hard graft.
"But then, quick as a flash, I think: “It’s only for a few months — they will be able to feed themselves soon.
"I don’t regret it. I wouldn’t have had them if I didn’t want them — and it will get easier."
She told how some people thought she had been "selfish", becoming a mum at her age.
Explaining how she knew she would be the oldest mum at the school gate, she said people always told her she looked younger than she was.
Tracey also revealed she had a late abortion at 19 weeks pregnant when she was 39 because the timing wasn't rate.
However, she regretted it and so decided to use an inheritance her mum Pauline had left her to find IVF.
In December, Tracey told The Sun how she named one of her babies after her idol - George Michael.
Tracey told The Sun: “I was George Michael’s biggest fan. I have a tattoo of his face on my arm and a picture of us together taken near his home in Highgate in 2006. It has pride of place on the wall.
“I brought the quads home and introduced them. I lifted my boy up under his photo, and said, ‘George, meet George’.
George, identical twins Francesca and Fredrica and sister Grace had been born premature in October after being conceived via £7,000 IVF.
Tracey — already a mum of three and a gran of eight — said it meant she had the “perfect Christmas” with roofer husband Stephen in Arnos Grove, North London.
She is now settling back into life as a full-time mum.
"We’ve spent £2,000 on clothes, towels and blankets, £1,200 on a buggy, four £80 car seats, four £45 rockers, and all the paraphernalia," she said.
“But obviously it’s worth every penny.”
She added: “I’m writing a journal and want to make it a book to help anyone else in the same position — called Against All Quads.”
