IGK Hair Crybaby Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum
- £22 from SpaceNK —
My hair is crying out for some TLC and it feels thirstier and frizzier than ever now that I’m washing it most days after the gym. IGK Hair Crybaby Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum, £25, has come to the rescue just in time.
It’s a serum-in-oil formula that’s inspired by the same technology found in skincare, and it’s packed with coconut oil that gets to work on parched strands, plus prickly pear cactus extract that will sort out flyaways.
Clarins Glow 2 Go Blush & Highlighter Duo in Golden Peach
- £26 from Clarins —
Winter has given my face a battering this year, and my healthy glow has been replaced by dull skin with the occasional dry patch.
I’ve had to steer clear of my usual matte staples in favour of products that give a dewy finish, such as Clarins Glow 2 Go Blush & Highlighter Duo in Golden Peach, £26, a double-ended stick that contains a peachy-toned blush and golden highlighter.
I dot the blusher end on to the apples of my cheeks and blend it in before swiping the highlighter across my temples, cheekbones and Cupid’s bow and blending with a stippling brush.
Simple Moisturising Facial Wash
- £1.99 from Superdrug —
My New Year health kick is hanging by a thread, so to help me stay motivated I like to keep my gym bag well-stocked with all my beauty faves.
Now, instead of lugging around a full-sized face wash, I can chuck in Simple Moisturising Facial Wash, £1.99 – a resealable little pouch of the kind-to-skin formula.
It uses 62% less packaging than the original 50ml Simple products, meaning I’m also doing my bit for the environment.
Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint
- £17.99 from Boots —
Is there anything worse than finally discovering your ideal shade of lippy but then finding that it leaves your lips feeling flaky and dry? Hmph.
New Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint, £7.99, contains shea butter to keep your pout moisturised, and packs a high pigment of colour, too.
Oh, and it comes in six super-gorge shades – my fave is Soldier Pink, which adds a pop of colour to my face and draws the attention away from my tired-looking peepers!

I’ve really enjoyed doing Veganuary, and now I’d really like to make sure all my beauty products are vegan, too. Are there any brands you would recommend? Gabriele, Guernsey
Well done for sticking with Veganuary this year – I tried and lasted three days!
But regardless of whether I’m eating a plant-based diet or not, I do love vegan beauty products, and my favourite brand has got to be Love Beauty And Planet.
Its 100% vegan hair, body and skincare products use sustainably sourced ingredients and recycled packaging, so you can feel good about your beauty choices.
My hero product is the refreshing but gentle , £7.99.
As for make-up, my go-to brand is Inika. Its , £33, is one of the best bases I’ve ever used, as it’s brimming with natural, skin-loving antioxidants such as green tea and lavender.
