Mum undergoes first ‘spider web’ abs lift – after stopping her bum sagging with same op

A MUM who had a "spider web" bum lift last year has now had the pioneering treatment done to her abs.
Marcela Iglesias, from LA, had over 70 tiny threads injected into her stomach in a bid to tighten her muscles and prevent sagging.
Dubbed "Queen of cosmetic procedures", she claims to be the first in the world to have had the cosmetic op - after having the same procedure on her bum.
Desperate to re-discover the six-pack she had ten years ago - which she carved out at the gym - she decided to skip the hard work and pay £1,500 instead.
Marcela, who will not reveal her age, said: “I don’t dislike the way I look now, but after seeing the results of the Spider Butt procedure, I really wanted Dr Bazzi to create something similar for my abdomen.
“It already feels really tight there, like I have just worked out for ten hours, as soon as the procedure was finished my stomach felt really tight."
But she admits that the non-invasive surgery isn't a magic solution to gravity's pull.
“Unfortunately, there is no magic procedure, but we will see how good it looks at six months just in time for summer, I am avoiding surgery as much as I can.
“It will flatten my stomach and prevent it from sagging, as you grow older you can’t defy gravity but I’m trying to keep everything in place and position.
“It worked well for me and I love the fact that I don’t have to go under the knife, the next one for me could be my face."
Although she supports other people's right to plastic surgery, Marcela herself has no plans to have any - opting instead for innovative beauty treatments.
“I love trying brand new procedures and have been into it since I was a young woman, I have always tried to seek out the top beauty treatments out there.”
Despite undergoing the recent procedure, she explained that she'd still have to keep her healthy habits in order to maintain her dream body.
The mum combines a healthy diet, workout regime and lifestyle to amplify the effects of her beauty treatments.
Marcela had the Spider Web Abdominal Enhancement with Dr Aleix Bazzi, who believes she will see the full results of the $2,000 (£1,553) op in up to three months, with the effects lasting for a year.
Marcela said: “It will take a few months to see the full effects, but I will still need to maintain going to the gym, eat nutritious food and upkeep my lifestyle.
“If I was to eat like an elephant it wouldn’t work.
“Currently it’s like wearing a compression garment, it feels tight and I like how it feels, it’s just like my butt, which is now more round also.”
Despite the recent ab procedure, she does not consider her stomach to be a "problem area" - but is grateful for a firmer, more youth skin.
She added: “I was very lucky when I had my children that my skin didn’t sag or get loose skin, I didn’t need a tummy tuck like a lot of ladies.
“I wanted to keep the elasticity of my skin and the collagen, it could be of great benefit to men and women in my opinion.”
So enamoured with the treatment, that she's now considering have her face and jaw done.
Dr Bazzi said: “The Spider Web Abs procedure is performed to tighten the abdominal skin and enhance its texture and tone.
“The intended web design is deliberately done to increase tightening around the umbilicus as a focal point of strength and tapering out just like a web."
He explained that once the threads were inserted into the skin, an intended inflammatory reaction takes place, which has a regenerative effect on the skin.
Patients can see results within around three months of having the procedure, while the threads themselves dissolve anywhere between three weeks and three months.
“The effects can last up to a year depending on the patient’s ability to produce collagen in response to the threads."
