‘Ungrateful’ bride-to-be slammed for saying she HATES her engagement ring after fiance proposed with family heirloom
The bride-to-be has been left fuming after her partner gave her his grandmother's ring instead of the yellow diamond design she specifically asked for
A "BRATTY" bride-to-be to has revealed she HATES the engagement ring after her fiance proposed with a poignant family heirloom instead of the yellow diamond design she asked for.
Moaning about her "blingy" ring on the online forum , the woman wrote: "I always wanted a larger caray yellow diamond ring on yellow gold."
After her boyfriend of 10 years asked her to send him ideas of ring styles she liked, the anonymous bride revealed she has "told him exactly what I wanted."
Already aware that her partner wanted to her to have his grandmother's ring, the woman added: "His mother called me later and told me that she always wanted a yellow diamond as well but that they don't have one in the family.
"Apparently she wanted me to have his grandmother's ring and he was just gonna take the diamond and change the setting."
Describing how her partner popped the question, the bride-to-be added: "Well he finally proposed on January 3rd.
"The proposal wasn't spectacular either."
But it's the ring that's left the bride particularly underwhelmed.
Insisting that "at first I liked the ring" featuring his grandmother's diamond, but "the more days that go by the more I hate it."
Concluding the post, the woman wrote: "I don't know what to do. I'm upset because it's not what I always wanted and I waited so long for a proposal."
In response to the woman's dilemma, outraged users have been quick to label the bride-to-be "ungrateful" and "bratty".
One user wrote: "You sound extremely ungrateful. Hate is such a strong word.
"That's his grandmother's ring that you say you hate. How disrespectful."
Another added: "You do sound a bit ungrateful, especially bringing up your disappointment in his proposal."
Meanwhile, a third responded: "You sound like a brat."
However, other users urged the woman to say something to her fiance.
Admitting that it's an "extremely special piece of jewellery", one user said: "I can only imagine how strange it must have felt to have received a ring completely different in style that you showed him (when he asked what you like!)"
Criticising her fiance for taking so long to propose, another wrote: "I don't think it's ungrateful at all to want to love your ring.
"And let's be real, after 10 years, you deserve a proposal with a lot of thought and effort."
