Meghan and Harry’s romantic Christmas card gets HALF the likes of Kate and William’s family snap
THE royal family released their stunning Christmas cards this week to the delight of royal fans.
Prince William and Kate’s card featured the sweet family-of-five beaming in autumnal bliss outside their country home.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s was a glossy black-and-white shot of the couple watching the fireworks at their evening wedding reception at Frogmore Hall in Windsor.
The two cards were uploaded to the Kensington Palace Instagram account at exactly the same time on Friday, but Prince William and Kate’s appears to be way more popular than Prince Harry and Meghan’s.
Kate and William’s shot has racked up a staggering 1.7million likes in one day, which is over double the 790,000 likes that Harry and Meghan’s has gained.
In the Cambridge's picture, it's smiles all round, as George cavorts in a pair of jeans and Kate cradles baby Louis - who is now almost eight months old.
The family grin as they gather around a tree trunk in woodland at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk in the sunshine, as Prince George and Princess Charlotte hang happily off their parents.
Three-year-old Charlotte stands on the trunk with her arms around her parents' shoulders, while five-year-old George playfully holds on to his father as he stands one-legged in wellies on the trunk.
Fans said ‘gorgeous’ Prince George stole the limelight as he’s pictured in jeans for the first time.
They also pointed out that the card proves the family love hand-me-downs, after Prince Louis wore shoes that Prince George had been pictured in previously.
Whereas Meghan and Harry have their backs to the camera in a glamorous black and white shot.
Some have criticised the chic shot, with body language expert Judi James calling it “an ad for the new Bond movie".
Judi said: “[They are] inviting us to admire their cool, romantic A-lister lifestyle here in what looks like an ad for the new Bond movie.”
Others have said the card reveals Prince Harry’s huge ‘bald patch’ and ‘massive feet’, and also appears like they’ve ‘turned their backs to the public’.
Last month, Meghan and Harry - who are expecting their first child in the spring - revealed they would be moving out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The family cards were released on Friday, along with one from the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in which the couple are pictured on a bench in their Clarence House garden gazing at each other.
In Charles and Camilla's card, the duchess is wearing a cream and crepe dress by Fiona Clare in the image, the same outfit she wore for the prince's official 70th birthday pictures which featured the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The cards being released comes as rumours are swirling about the two duchesses not getting along – although this has been denied by the palace.
We also revealed Meghan Markle vowed to ‘take a risk’ and ‘live a life less stifled’ 18 months before she dated Prince Harry.
