Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s body language ‘revealed rifts’ when asked about rows in February

RUMOURS of a growing rift between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton surfaced recently - but do the tensions go back to the start of the year?

It was recently claimed the pair had an explosive row before Meghan's wedding after she was rude to one of Kate's staff and that the Duchess of Sussex left her sister-in-law in tears over her demands for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.

Now a body language expert has revealed footage of the duchesses in February showed that the pair had difficulties in their early days together.

The video was filmed during the first public appearance Prince William, Kate, Prince Harry and Meghan did as the “Fab Four” at the Royal Foundation Forum.

Alongside asking about their ongoing mental health initiative, the interviewer asked the royals: “Working together as family, do you ever have disagreements about things?”

Body language guru Judi James said that the group’s reaction to the question could have implied there was tension.

Speaking about the clip, Judi told The Sun Online: “The first sign the new Fab Four might not be the dream team they might have hoped?

“Despite some superficial postural mirroring here the clues to potential difficulties or rifts were displayed verbally and in the group's body language.

“The two women's reactions are strong here. Kate swings her chair away from Meghan to laugh directly at her husband.

“Meghan 'hides' from Kate by dropping her head so her hair masks her face from Kate while she laughs behind it.”

The women can be seen immediately turning away from each other as the question is asked.

While Meghan can be seen looking at the floor with a bashful smile, Kate turns to Prince William for support.

And it wasn’t just the women who gave away signs of discomfort.

Judi added: “Asked a very direct question about disagreements even the normally masked Prince William gives a surprisingly direct 'oh yes' answer.

“He sits using some anxious finger fiddling while Harry, sitting splayed and slightly arrogant, throws him a very direct stare.”

Harry was quick to clarify that any disagreements are “healthy” but joked that there are so many clashes that “they come so thick and fast”.

Prince William joked “Is it resolved? We don’t know”, to which the interviewer replied “Well you’re putting on a great show, if not.”

Prince Harry expanded on the benefits of having contrasting people working together.

He said: “I think it’s really good that we’ve got four different personalities, and we’ve all got that same passion to want to make a difference, but you know … different opinions.

“Working with family, of course it has its challenges … But look, we’re stuck together for the rest of our lives.”

The Sun recently revealed that Harry and Meghan have decided they don't want to live in Kensington next to William and Kate.

The newlyweds will instead move to the Windsor estate and set up residence at Frogmore Cottage, which is having a multi-million pound refit paid for by the taxpayer.

And a friend close to the couple has claimed that the decision to move may be because a rift is developing between the two couples because "Kate and Meghan are very different people".

Kensington Palace released a statement saying: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year as they prepare for the arrival of their first child."
