The actress, 45, underwent the bizarre treatment following a long-haul flight
THERE are some celebs who'll go to pretty extreme lengths to stay looking young and beautiful.
Take, for example, Trinny Woodall, who spends £160 on 50 minute "pinching" treatments to get rid of cellulite.
And we previously revealed how I'm A Celeb star Holly Willoughby takes milk baths to keep her skin soft and supple.
But Kate Beckinsale's latest bizarre beauty treatment could just top the lot.
The 45-year-old actress has revealed she indulges in a £465 ($650) facial which uses serum containing the "liquefied foreskins" of South Korean baby boys to maintain her youthful looks.
Yep, you read that right.
She then thanked British-born beautician Georgia Louise, who has a salon in New York, for the "amazing facial", adding: "I especially liked you reassuring me it would be 'light on penis' as it was my first time."
So how, I hear you ask, does this bonkers facial actually work?
The procedure that uses a special epidermal growth factor (EGF) serum which uses stem cells cultivated from the foreskins of Korean infants.
Stem cells are often used to help brighten and regenerate skin, but Georgia Louise sources the cells from the baby foreskins for a number of reasons.
"Young” stem cells are thought to activate ageing cells, so they produce more collagen and wrinkles and cause fine lines disappear.
And Korea has a large supply of foreskins obtained during circumcision, as is the general custom for young boys.
South Korea in particular is home to a large number of stem cell banks, and the cells can be exported round the world.
The stem cells are harvested in a centrifuge and then delivered to salons, where facialists pump them into the skin using a microneedling process to stimulate collagen production.
Georgia received her professional training in France, Switzerland and the UK.
According to her treatment menu: "The facial includes a cleanse, followed by an intensive TCA peel, micro-needling machine and an electrifying mask to calm the skin, followed by her ‘secret box’ of EGF serum (epidermal growth factor).
"EGF is derived from the progenitor cells of the human fibroblast taken from Korean newborn baby foreskin – which helps to generate collagen and elastin.
"FDA approved stem cells and peptides are penetrated deep into the skin using a special electric micro-needling wand.
"This process allows the active ingredients to be transported deep in the skin by creating temporary micro-channel."
It's also loved by fellow Hollywood superstar Sandra Bullock, who has nicknamed the treatment "the penis facial".
And judging by mum-of-one Kate's flawless complexion, it's clearly doing something right.
