The Queen ‘will never give up the throne’ – and Princess Charlotte plays an important part in her decision
One royal insider has opened up about the Queen's reign
OVER the last year, many royal fans have noticed that the Queen has passed some of her responsibilities over to her eldest son - and heir to the throne - Prince Charles.
And while this has led some to believe the Queen could abdicate the throne, a royal insider has opened up about why he believes her Maj will not step aside.
Royal documentary filmmaker, Nick Bullen has spent years observing and working with members of the royal family and firmly believes the Queen, 92, will not abdicate.
"Abdication will never happen," Nick told .
"The A-word is a really dirty word at the palace.
"...I think the Queen sees what those boys and their wives bring, I also wonder whether she even throws forward to the great grandchildren.
"Princess Charlotte, already at the age of three, knows how to work a crowd.
"Maybe now through her grandchildren she can see a way of just staying on the crest of that wave."
Nick told Yahoo that Her Maj is the "ultimate working woman", believing it could be another 10 years before Prince Charles takes his place as King.
"Her mother lived to 101. The Queen is there for the long run…she could live for at least another 10 years," said Nick.
"I think the Prince of Wales is probably ready to be King, he probably wants to take on that top job, but he could well be 80 before it comes.
"...She’s seen it all, she’s done it all, she is the ultimate working mother and working woman, and I don’t think she’s going anywhere, anytime soon."
Founder of True Royalty TV Nick, also reminded viewers of the speech the Queen gave on her 21st birthday in 1947.
"I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short will be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong," she said.
Over the last year, Prince Charles has been gradually taking on some of his mother's responsibilities, including laying the Queen's wreath at the Cenotaph memorial both in 2017 and earlier this month on Remembrance Sunday.
