Mum delivers twins by herself in moving car as she directs her lost husband to the hospital
Multi-tasking mum Dacia Pittman, 23, delivered her twins in a moving car in front of her older kids while directing her husband to hospital
A MUM delivered her own twin babies in front of her entire family in a moving car while directing her husband to hospital after he got lost.
Dacia Pittman, 23, told Fabulous how she went into labour at 38 weeks pregnant when she woke up on November 5 at 6am.
Realising what was happening she told her husband, Marcus Giffin, 26, who got her into the car.
They were en route to the hospital - via her sister-in-law's who was planning to take their sons Harley, eight, and Billy, five - but she realised she couldn't wait.
So, while delivering her own babies in front of the whole family, she directed her husband to hospital near where they live in Ohio, USA.
"I showed him how to get there," she admitted.
Happily 6lb 3oz Everett and Amelia 5lb 15 oz Amelia arrived safely - while she was giving her husband directions.
Amazingly, Amelia was born en caul - meaning she was still in her amniotic sac - which her mum popped.
Dacia, in an interview with Fabulous, said "It all happened so fast.
"We were calm but quick to act because I had lost a lot of blood and we didn't want anything happening to the babies or me.
I had my baby boy on my chest, holding him with my one arm. With my other arm I was guiding my girl out. I put her on my chest and broke her sack and cleaned her off. But my husband wasn't sure exactly how to get to the hospital so I helped him.

"I reclined in the front passenger seat and lay back and started to push. My son came first.
"I started to clean him off and clear his throat, rubbed his back and spanked his butt, which got him to cry to clear his lungs.
"I look in the back seat and saw that my kids had put their blankets up. I didn't even ask them to do this. They just did it. It was so sweet of them."
Then, shortly afterwards, her daughter arrived.
Amelia said: "I had my baby boy on my chest, holding him with my one arm. With my other arm I was guiding my girl out.
"I put her on my chest and broke her sack and cleaned her off.
"I then put her on my other side of my chest asked my man to slow down.
"But my husband wasn't sure exactly how to get to the hospital so I helped him."
Arriving at the hospital, Marcus entered and told medics "we have babies out here".
Dacia said: "About eight or nine doctors with stretchers and towels and a stretcher came out.
"It was amazing."
The babies - and mum - are now safe at home.
