Isle of Man, UK
Sub-Editor Michelle Higgins chased waterfalls and adrenalin highs on the 32-mile-long island in the Irish Sea.
THE PAD: Seascape B&B might be tricky to find, but it’s worth it.
Kick back in a bedroom of white-on-white-on-white, with a super-king bed, silver-leaf furniture and glittering chandeliers, then bliss out in the hot tub and sauna.
Expect stunning views of Laxey Bay from floor-to-ceiling windows and a full English breakfast, including tasty local sausages.
EXPLORE: In Port St Mary in the south-west of the island, hop on the steam railway for a 20-minute journey to Castletown, from £5.20 return.
Dating from 1874, it still uses original locomotives.
Castletown’s Castle Rushen is one of the world’s best-preserved medieval buildings – it’s got a dark history and even a ghost! Entry costs £8 ().
Meanwhile, the island is famous for its physics-defying TT races – where complete nutters, sorry, brave motorcyclists, blast around a 37-mile course at up to 124mph – so for an adrenalin rush, jump on the back of a trike for an exhilarating 90-minute tour of the circuit, £120 ().

Delhi, India
Shopping Editor Nana Acheampong hit the hustle and bustle of India’s biggest city for shrines and spices.
THE PAD: Slap bang in the middle of the business and entertainment districts, New Delhi’s The Park Hotel is home to smart decor and in-room showers.
The pool is surrounded by silver disco balls, and is perfect for lounging with a cocktail.
Plus, each Sunday the hotel hosts an organic farmers’ market brimming with the freshest produce and souvenirs, like home-made bars of vegan soap.
EXPLORE: Visit the daily Janpath market opposite the hotel to pick up cushions and trinkets.
Don’t miss an auto rickshaw ride round Old Delhi and a stroll in the spice market for an assault on all the senses, plus spices from as little as 50p.
Later, take a cultural trip to the Sikh temple Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Entry is free.
REFUEL: In Old Delhi, Karim’s is a national treasure. Yes, it’s essentially a kebab shop, but it’s been around for over 100 years and is one of the city’s best.
Watch the naan as it’s kneaded then tossed into the oven. A chicken barra will set you back a fiver, and a butter naan 60p.
For street-food action, head to Natraj Cafe, where you’ll find a queue for their two specials.
Try the dahi bhalle – fried lentil balls with yoghurt, topped with sweet chutney.
Meanwhile, The Park’s Fire restaurant prides itself on its mainly organic menu. My winner? The tasty Malabar prawn curry, £13.
DON’T MISS: At The Park, Aura Spa offers a huge range of massage and beauty treatments.
A 90-minute full-body signature massage is a bargain £32.
Or add on some beach time in Goa at its adults-only sister hotel Baga River, where doubles cost from £110 B&B.
