Celebrity Big Brother winner Courtney Act talks naked partying, Ann Widdecombe and wardrobe faux pas

NO PARTY is complete without a piñata! What’s been the best party of your life?

Probably Burning Man Festival – 70,000 people in the Nevada desert for a week. There was a lot of dirt and dust, but a lot of fun. Some people were wearing huge, elaborate costumes, others were naked.

Were you in the buff?

I tried, but I’ve never managed to overcome my fear of wandering around naked in a public space.

When did you discover Courtney?

New Year’s Eve 2001 was Courtney’s first outing, and I had so much fun, I wanted to do it again and again. Then suddenly I was doing it professionally.

What’s been your most embarrassing moment?

When my testicle popped out on stage! I was doing a club show and was in a magician’s box in a contorted position, singing Katy Perry’s Firework. Then suddenly someone was tugging on me in the crowd to tell me my whole nut was hanging out!

Have you spoken to Ann Widdecombe since Celebrity Big Brother?

I have not. Whenever I get in a black cab, I have a conversation about Ann Widdecombe and how much the driver loves her. Then you read an article she’s written about how now we’ve reached equality, women need to simmer down and stop asking for special privileges. I think [what she writes] is counterproductive to what today’s generation is fighting for.

Andrew Brady asked you to be his best man if he and Caroline Flack ever make it down the aisle…

I saw Andrew on Wednesday – we caught up and had lunch in Shoreditch – and I saw him and Caroline a few weeks ago at a Kylie concert. It was fun.

Are they a good match?

Only they can know that. You look at other people’s relationships and make judgments, but at the end of the day, only they can know what’s right and wrong.

Any wild stag do plans in motion?

Isn’t it tradition that the stag wakes up naked chained to a lamp post? I don’t think Andrew would flinch at that.

Who’s the most famous person in your phone book?

Miley Cyrus. We met at the VMAs. I was going to Burning Man the day after and I invited her because we had a spare ticket, but she had to be in Nashville.

Shame! Your new E! show The Bi Life was filmed in Barcelona – what was the highlight?

Is it trite to say the cast? They are so much fun to hang out with. I kind of want to go and have a pint with them tonight, although I’m exhausted!

You’ve said you’re pansexual – can you explain?

I’m definitely more attracted to men and masculinity – not just cis men but trans guys, too. I’ve been intimate with women and will be again. I meet someone and connect with them.

Are you single?

I am. Finding love is important to me, but right now things are very busy. I don’t feel capable of committing.
