Mum gets global support after sharing heart-wrenching photo of six-year-old daughter in hospital so upset by bullying ‘she’s sick 20 times an hour’

Mum Carrie Golledge released a picture of her six-year-old daughter in hospital as she revealed she was sick '20 times a night' as a result of bullying

A MUM has had support from around the world after school bullies left her daughter needing hospital treatment.

Her photo of poorly Sophia Golledge, six, curled up on a ward, was shared by 175,000 people

Mum Carrie, 29, also wrote on Facebook: “This is what bullying does. We saw our girl crying herself to sleep, refusing to eat and suffering constant sickness.”

She posted a poem, saying: “This is my child whose ‘best friend’ emotionally abused her. My child — in hospital due to being sick with anxiety — told by the school she should be the one feeling ashamed.”

Carrie's post prompted a huge response with other parents offering Sophia their best wishes.

In subsequent posts Carrie revealed her daughter has since moved schools and was doing better.

"I've had messages from people I don't know," she added. "This is happening to too many people and it's so wrong.

"I have been inundated with such amazing messages from people that I don't even know and I am trying to get through them all while I also work out how to allow you all to comment on the post .

"You are all incredible I'm restoring our faith in people that has been stripped from us over the last couple months."

Devon Council said it was investigating.
