VOD THE HELL?

Mum reveals her three-year-old-old daughter was left with a hangover – after her mother-in-law let her have orange juice spiked with VODKA

The youngster was too ill to go to nursery the day after her accidental vodka binge

A SHOCKED mum has revealed her three-year-old daughter was left HUNGOVER after accidentally drinking vodka.

The youngster drank a glass of 'juice' which was actually half J20 and half neat vodka at her nan's house after the older women pretended it was alcohol-free.

The writer told how her mum-in-law - who she said "really loves her daughter" initially poured her a glass of the juice, mixed with lemonade - hence why she couldn't taste the booze - and "swore blind" it wasn't alcoholic, she revealed.

So, assuming it was fine, the mum poured her daughter straight juice - without lemonade, only to later learn she had inadvertently fed her toddler daughter a potent cocktail.

Her little girl wet herself twice that day and the next day was really ill.

She explained in a post: "She [my mum-in-law] then chose to reveal that this 'juice' was made from 50% tropical J2O and 50% neat vodka."

She continued: "The whole next day my daughter was down in the dumps, didn't eat, had a headache, was dizzy and was generally too ill to go to nursery."

Other people spoke of their horror that the nan allowed this to happen, suggesting there was no way the mum should allow her to go back to the older woman's house.

And they suggested - far from overreacting - the mum was underreacting.

"That was incredibly brain-dead on her part," said one woman. "There is NO WAY I would be leaving a child alone with such a person.

"Even if she didn't know you planned to give the juice to [your daughter], she shouldn't have given you alcohol without your consent."

Another added: "Do not let your daughter stay with them... I'm not a hysterical person, but seriously, that is so dangerous."

One woman said: "You’re massively under reacting!! If I were you, I would never ever let your mother-in-law, clearly an alcoholic, have sole care of your precious daughter again, she’s clearly completely and dangerously incompetent."

Another added: "I think you’re completely under reacting, if anyone had knowingly let my toddler have alcohol there is no way they’d be coming near her again. You seem strangely calm about it!"
