This is what Mia Tindall was holding in Princess Eugenie’s wedding portraits

Fans were quick to take to social media questioning what the unusual 'mushroom' item was

PRINCESS Eugenie released her stunning official wedding photos at the weekend, featuring her bridal party and groom Jack Brooksband.

And while the bride certainly looked incredible, it was little bridesmaid Mia Tindall who stole the show and left royal fans baffled as to what she was holding.

The little bridesmaid, four, who is the daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall, could be seen clutching a bizarre white object in the shots.

Fans were quick to take to social media questioning what the unusual “mushroom” item was.

Thankfully the mystery appears to have been solved, and it turns out Mia was playing with an ice cream-shaped toy.

A source told the Sun Online: “Mia is holding a squishy ice cream cone that was part of a bespoke entertainment pack given to all of the page boys and bridesmaids to keep them occupied during the day.”

Typically they contain a selection of items from colouring books, toys, magic painting sets, stickers, travel games and reading books, all within a drawstring bag.

The collection ranges from around £16.99 per pack.

The Sun Online contacted Kensington Palace for comment and they confirmed Mia was playing with “a toy” but declined to verify the brand.

Fans were quick to point out how much they loved little Mia, who looked adorably grumpy in the official pictures.

Buckingham Palace released a set of photos from British fashion photographer Alex Bramall on Saturday, two of which feature the sullen bridesmaid.

Mia is known for her boisterous behaviour and certainly looked like she had better things to do than sit in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle during Friday’s wedding.

One person said: “Mia Tindall just cracks me up on these pics. Theyre all so cute though and Eugenie looked stunning!”

And one Twitter user said: "Mia Tindall continues to be the best at Grumpy."

Another joked: “The unimpressed flower girl in the front row is the best part.”

It’s not the first time Mia has become the centre of attention, thanks to her cheeky personality.

Mia also stole the show in the Queen’s 90th birthday, being pictured holding one of her famous Launer handbags in an official shot.

This is why Princess Eugenie left an empty seat in the front row of her wedding.

Princess Eugenie wowed in a low-backed bespoke gown by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vo.

The princess had major surgery to correct a curvature of her spine, known as scoliosis, and had steel rods inserted into her back.
