Princess Eugenie stuns in SECOND dress as she changes into Zac Posen gown for evening reception

Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in a dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos

THE world watched Princess Eugenie walk down the aisle in a wedding dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.

The 28-year-old, who broke with tradition and chose not to have a veil, tied the knot at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, a few months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

But she did keep to another tradition, later changing into a second dress for the evening reception.

Four official photos have been released to mark the occasion, one showing Princess Eugenie in her blush pink gown.

Taken at the Royal Lodge, in Windsor Castle, as they headed for dinner, Jack had also changed into a suit and bowtie.

Designed by American Zac Posen, the dress was inspired by the beauty of the Windsor countryside.

An official statement explaining how the dress was made said: "Mr Posen was inspired by the beauty of Windsor and the surrounding countryside.

“The choice of colour reflects the blush of an English rose.

“Mr Posen took his inspiration from the White Rose of York.

"The pin-tucked plissé is cut on the bias and mixed with signature drapes.

"The White Rose of York is subtlety embroidered on both the shoulder and back which hold together the cape.”

The dress was made with silk from the British Mill, Biddle Sawyer Silk.

She kept the emerald drop earrings she wore for the ceremony, which were a gift from Jack, but added some more of the Queen’s bling for the evening do.

Eugenie wore a hair slide which belongs to the Monarch, which were originally Queen Victoria’s.

The wheat-ear brooches were by commissioned by William IV in 1830 for Queen Adelaide, and were then passed on to Queen Victoria in 1837.

The Queen was given them in 1952, and has worn them as both a brooch and a hair slide.

The other official photos of the wedding show the couple with the bridesmaids and paige boys, and their families including the Queen.

The last photo is a black-and-white shot of them in the Scottish State Coach.

It is customary for royal ladies to change into an evening gown, with Kate Middleton changing into a second wedding dress and Meghan wearing a Stella McCartney gown.
