A FAMILY were so moved when they swapped lives on Rich House, Poor House that they paid for a struggling single mum to have a life-changing gift - to finish her swimming instructor course.
South African-born mum-of-two Terry Morgan, who owns her "snug" £133,000 three-bed flat above a curry house in Havant, normally has just £158 after bills each week, changed places with the Coleman family for a week.
The mum-of-two scrapes to fund her training and doesn't have any extra cash for luxuries for her kids.
This week's episode saw the Morgan family take up residence in a spacious £750k family home in Salisbury.
She swapped homes and lives with entreprise architect Peter Coleman and his wife Jo, a freelance writer, and Terry admitted she's never earned their leftover weekly budget in a month.
And when presented with a luxurious budget of £1,800 a week, Terry decided to invest in her daughter's education by buying 14-year-old Coral her first ever laptop.
Presenting her Coral with her very own device, Terry said: "I hope you use it wisely, I hope it gets you to where you want to be in your life."
In what was a truly touching moment between the mother and daughter, Terry added: "I wish I could have given her all the opportunities that are out there but I'm going to give them the ones I can."
Her kindness was repaid when the Colemans decided to pay out the remaining balance of Terry's swimming instructor course, so she could help provide for her family.
In a letter the Coleman wrote: "Dear Terry, Coral and Theo. The love and energy in this house jump off every wall. If you would like some help with your training courses, we would like to pay for them."
Terry broke down in tears when she received the life-changing gift, and viewers even hailed the episode as "the nicest Rich House, Poor House ever."
Terry wept: "That's so sweet of them. This is a big gesture because now I can take it further and build on my portfolio of swimming. The only way it up."
One viewer even gushed: "The rich family willing to pay for Terry’s course so she can achieve her dreams is what it’s all about. Not all heroes wear capes. Amazing."
In a clip Jo explained: "I think Terry is quite an inspirational character because of her positivity. To have that strong self-belief that she has is amazing."
Reflecting on how her new laptop will aid her studies, Coral said: "This laptop will be an easier way to help myself with my GCSES."
Praising Terry's thoughtful, maternal gesture, viewers took to Twitter to commend the loving mum.
One user wrote: "The 'poor' mum on Rich House Poor House is very clearly a loving, caring and fun filled mum."
Another added: "Laptops are a very essential purchase. Being able to do that for her daughter must have felt good."
What's more, one Twitter user commented on Coral's little brother Theo who was equally happy for his sister.
They wrote: "Proves what nice kids they are when the girl gets a laptop and the boy just keeps spinning on the bar stool. Bless him."
Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Online earlier this week, the selfless mum said that while she happily splashed out on her daughter's laptop all she wanted was a £150 Hetty the Hoover.
Opting for a more practical purchase for herself, Terry said: "I needed a new hoover because mine had broken three weeks before.
"I could have gone and got another cheap £85 hoover but I thought ‘that’s just not going to last me’.
"So I got a Hetty hoover, I wouldn’t normally have bought something for over £100 because I can’t afford it.
"I was thinking about getting a Dyson but we were in Salisbury Cathedral and as we were going up into a tower there was a Hetty box, and I was like ‘it’s a sign from God! I’m getting a Hetty hoover’."
