DRUNK Elephant is a US skincare brand which is launching in the UK.
It has achieved something of a cult status across the pond and beauty fans have been gearing up for its release on our shores.
It was set up by mum-of-four Tiffany Masteton in 2013, who said she was inspired to make her own line of skincare after not being able to find what she wanted in shops.
The ethos of the brand is ‘clean, clinical’ skincare, and it sets itself apart by focusing on skin issues, rather than type.
Tiffany wanted to create products which were free from what she calls the ‘suspicious six’, which are essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrance/dyes and SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate).
Their website says: “Drunk Elephant is committed to using only ingredients that either directly benefit the skin’s health or support the integrity and effectiveness of our formulations.
“We never take into account an ingredient’s synthetic or natural status, but instead choose based on biocompatibility.
“And all their products are designed, tested and made in the United States.”
One of the heroes of the range is Marula Oil, and the brand got its name after Tiffany researched the product and found lots of videos of elephants looking a little wobbly after eating Marula fruit.
The range is available to pre-order now from certain sites, including and.
It will go on sale online on October 3.
Alongside their regular skincare products are their kits, which resemble boardgames.
They have the Agent Ellie Kit, Inspector Drunk Kit, and the Big Reveal Kit.
They come with fun instructions, for example they have a 'how to play' section, which says: "Using the magnifying glass, search the ingredients in your current beauty routine for the six suspects (the #suspicious6) listed on the enclosed cards.
"Once you have located and set aside any products containing them, you may begin taking #acleanbreak using the Drunk Elephant Agent Ellie Day Kit to reset your skin back to a healthy balance.
"Products that do not contain the #suspicious6 may remain in the game.
"The winner is your skin."
Many of their products have won multiple beauty awards, but fans may be dismayed to learn of of their best-sellers and winner of 10 awards, the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, will not be sold in the UK.
This is because the UK and US has different laws regarding exfoliating acids.
Some other popular products have been allowed into the UK, including The Littles Kit.
It contains eight of their best-sellers, so if you're new to the brand or want to try them all out - this is for you.
