Meghan Markle used to get out of her car in a VERY bizarre way as she was ‘too poor’ to fix her broken door

SHE may live in a palace and have a driver to transport her in a fancy car… but Meghan Markle’s life didn’t always look this way.

Way before she landed her acting role in Suits, Meghan was once forced to clamber into her car through the BOOT after her doors broke when she was rushing to an audition.

The unfortunate incident is said to have happened following her landing a small part in the futuristic law office drama Century City in 2004 – long before she joined Suits in 2011.

At the time was “too broke” to get the car fixed so the actress, who was around the age of 23, was forced to scramble through the boot for weeks.

The revelation was made in the book , who has published several biographies on the royal family.

He wrote in the book: “On the way to an audition one day, the electric button that unlocked the doors to her Ford Explorer failed to open. She tried the key but to no avail.

“Trying not to panic, she went around to the hatchback trunk, which used a different key. By some miracle, it opened.

“Running short on time, she had no choice but to crawl in through the back and clamber over the seat.

“Thank goodness she was in shape from yoga and running, and thank good the car started and had a full tank of petrol.”

The book revealed that when Meghan got to the casting studio, she pulled into a deserted part of the car park and exited in the same way.

Andrew continued: “Too broke to get her SUV repaired, Meghan repeated this routine for months, parking far from other cars and waiting for the coast to clear before emerging from the hatch, feigning that she was searching in the back of the car for a script or photos before climbing back inside.

It seems her hard work eventually paid off, as in 2010, Meghan had a small part in the Robert Pattinson movie Remember Me, where she played a bartender named Megan.

Speaking about starring in the film, and co-starring with R-Patz she said: "I filmed some scenes in New York with him for a small part.

"He’s a really lovely guy and a really great example to be able to watch someone who is young, who’s stardom has really taken over his life in such a huge way, and yet he’s still gracious, humble and cool. I think that is really endearing."

In 2011, she made a brief cameo in Horrible Bosses as a Fed-Ex employee.

During the 30-second scene, Jason Sudeikis tries to flirt with her character saying: "You’re too cute to be a FedEx girl. You’ve got to be an actress or a model or something."

Meghan made her mark on the world of TV when she landed the role of Rachel Zane in hit show Suits, which she starred in from 2011 to 2018.

She played the role since the very first episode, but left the show at the end of season seven.

Something tells us she probably won’t have to clamber through any car boots again.
