Never one to bow to convention, Princess Diana was years ahead of her time....
WE all know Meghan Markle had a successful career before becoming Royalty.
Even Kate Middleton had a few short-lived jobs before marrying Prince William.
She briefly worked for her parents' company Party Pieces and then worked as a part-time junior accessories buyer for Jigsaw.
Her former boss Belle Robinson told the she wasn't precious: "She sat in the kitchen at lunchtime and chatted with everyone from the van drivers to the accounts girls. She wasn't precious."
But did you know it was Princess Diana who started the trend for working back in the 1970s.
She is believed to be the first Royal bride to have worked before marrying.
After attending finishing school in Switzerland, she took a series of jobs before becoming a nursery teacher at the Young England School, reported.
And she carried on before marrying Charles in 1981.
