Online cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch reveals the odd product she uses to remove marks from doors… and you’ll have it in your home

LET'S be honest, having a good scrub of your living room door probably isn't particularly high on your to-do list.

But if you're worried it's starting to look a little grubby, online cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch has shared a super-simple trick to get it looking brand new.

Known for her budget-friendly hacks and fun-filled Instagram stories, Mrs Hinch - AKA former hairdresser Sophie Hinchcliffe - has become an internet sensation.

She's amassed over 400,000 Instagram followers by posting snaps of her immaculate interiors, inspiring her self-named "Hinch Army" to get cleaning.

The 28-year-old is now so popular she was invited to appear on today's This Morning, where she gave hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby some handy tips.

It was her hack for cleaning doors that really caused viewers to prick up their ears.

Sophie explained to Holly and Phil: "This is a very quick hack to be able to wipe away the marks but not the actual paint itself."

She poured a cup of fabric conditioner (yep, you read that right) into a bowl of water, mixed it up and wiped the door with a scourer.

She did this this in a circular motion, explaining: "It lifts it straight up."

And that wasn't the only trick Mrs Hinch had up her sleeve.

To clear a blocked sink, she advised viewers to pour a cup full of soda crystals down their plugholes, followed by the same amount of white vinegar.

She said: "Leave it for up to 30 minutes, then boil the kettle and just wash it all away. I do it about once a fortnight."

For greasy cookers, she uses Stardrops' The Pink Stuff - one of her favourite products - telling Holly and Phil: "Add it to the scourer side and it will literally rub it in and wipe away."

As for mattress stains, she said: "Bicarb, sprinkle on the area and rub in with latex glove. Then hoover it off after an hour."

Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Online last week, Sophie said she didn't go looking for online fame and only created her Mrs Hinch Home account two years ago to avoid "clogging up my personal Instagram and boring everyone with home pictures".

As for her unexpected internet success?

She still remains "overwhelmed" by the response she's had.

After all, "cleaning has always been there. Everyone has always done it. It’s not like I’ve invented something new.

"But I’ve put a spin on it where it’s not boring anymore."
