PRINCE William has shared the book that Prince George and Princess Charlotte love to read, and it’s very popular with many kids.
The royal tots’ favourite story is The Gruffalo, which he revealed to the book’s delighted author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler.
The Duke of Cambridge, 36, said to the writer "I know who you are. It’s a big hit in our household, The Gruffalo", when he met her at a conservation event at Kensington Palace on Monday.
Prince William joked that his son George, five, would be “keeping an eye” on the model rhino that the Gruffalo creators had decorated for an art installation.
He revealed the artistic creature could be seen from the windows of their home and his adorable son would be a fan.
The popular children’s book was brought out in 1999 and tells the tale of a mouse who encounters a Gruffalo, which is a cross between a buffalo and a bear.
The father-of-three was visiting London’s new Tusk Rhino Trail, which has 21 rhino-themed art pieces dotted around the city until World Rhino Day on September 22.
Also in attendance was Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, who has been a supporter of conservation charities for 30 years and designed one of the 21 sculptures.
The aim of the feature is to "[draw] attention to the critical threat facing rhino populations across Africa due to a global poaching crisis".
The rhinos are the project of the Tusk Trust, which was established in 1990 at the height of the previous poaching crisis, when thousands of elephants and rhinos were slaughtered.
Prince William, who has been a royal patron of Tusk Trust since 2005, spoke about the importance of the work the organisation do to protect rhinos and raising awareness.

He said: “We need the young generation to really understand.”
Some of the rhinos were on display in the Kensington Palace gardens this week to mark the launch, and they will later be auctioned at Christie’s on October 9.
The money raised will go towards the Tusk’s conservation projects in Africa.
