Models wear dollar bills for bizarre New York Fashion Week runway show – and several outfits are completely SEE-THROUGH
Money makes the fashion world go round, we guess?
WHILE we were expecting to see some wacky things on the New York Fashion Week catwalk, giant dollar bills hadn't crossed our minds.
But that's exactly what Parsons School of Design sent their models down the runway in during their graduate show earlier today.
In what could be a contender for the least-comfortable outfit of all time, one look consisted of a bandeau dress fashioned out of a wad of cash.
This was kept in place with a metal clip, which appeared to completely restrict the model's movements.
Another ensemble featured a huge scrunched-up note.
It had been turned into a bizarre form of '80s ra-ra skirt, with a high waist and ripped edges.
We were particularly taken aback by the model wearing a wallet as a top.
The purse had an American Express card poking out of the top, as well as an escaping dollar bill that completely covered her face.
On her bottom half, she'd been put in a pair of matching leather knickers.
But that was nothing compared to the nearly-naked ensemble one model walked the runway in.
She was sporting a see-through bill as a boob tube, paired with nothing but flesh-coloured pants with chain-mail detailing.
The monetary theme continued with her shoes, with life-size transparent notes adorning the tops of her clear platforms.
Oh, and then there was the mask that somewhat resembled a face shield.
Let's just hope there were no paper cuts, eh?
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin put on a loved-up display during the second day of New York Fashion Week.
Gigi Hadid wowed in a plunging black gown and Kaia Gerber showed off her wild side in a crocodile jacket on the runway.
