NOW that they're happily married with three gorgeous children, it's hard to imagine Kate Middleton and Prince William ever going through a rocky patch.
But the pair did briefly split back in 2007, and Kate headed abroad to clear her head.
Kate, now 36, was spotted in Ireland weeks after calling it quits with Wills, also 36, and before the media was aware of the break-up.
She's believed to have flown to the Emerald Isle with her mum Carole and a group of friends, according to the at the time.
In Dublin, she met with Irish artist Gemma Billington, who later attended the Royal Wedding.
She also made the most of her Art History degree, visiting the Urban Retreat Gallery and the National Gallery of Ireland.
Kate and William met at the University of St. Andrews and were together for four years before ending their relationship in early 2007.
Thankfully, they reunited that June.
The couple married in 2011, and have since become parents to Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and four-month-old Prince Louis.
They've been very open about their split, with William explaining during their engagement interview in 2010 that "they were both very young".
He told : "It was at university, we were sort of both finding ourselves as such and being different characters and stuff, it was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up.
"It was just sort of a bit of space and a bit of things like that, and it worked out for the better."
Kate added: "I think I... at the time wasn't very happy about it, but actually it made me a stronger person.
"You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn't realised, or I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger and I really valued that time for me as well.
"Although I didn't think it at the time. Looking back on it."
We're glad Carole was there to help Kate pick up the pieces.
But we're even more delighted that she and Wills managed to work things out.
