This is why Meghan Markle’s halter-neck wedding dress won’t go on display in Windsor
Only Meghan Markle's Givenchy gown will go on display in the upcoming exhibition...
WE think we can all agree that Meghan Markle's Givenchy wedding dress was the stuff of bridal dreams.
And now fashion fans will get a much coveted glimpse of the gown at an upcoming Royal Wedding exhibition in Windsor... but Meghan's second dress will be notably absent.
In a similar fashion to Kate Middleton (no pun intended), Meghan started the day in a traditional, full-length designer dress before changing into something slinkier and modern for the couple's evening reception.
The Duchess of Sussex's silk halterneck dress by Stella McCartney was the perfect balance of elegant and modern while proving a hit with fashion commentators.
However, although Meghan's bespoke Givenchy gown will have pride of place in the upcoming A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex exhibition in Windsor, the winning Stella McCartney design will remain behind closed doors.
And it's all because Meghan wants her and Harry's evening reception was a private affair.
A spokesperson for the Royal Collection Trust who are organising the exhibition, confirmed to that Meghan's second dress will not be showcased in the display.
Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared their wedding ceremony with the public, the Royal couple want to keep their evening reception private.
Which means we sadly won't get to admire the white-lily silk and elegant shape in person any time soon.
Looks like we'll just have to make do with the pictures of Harry and Meghan looking every inch the modern Royal power couple as they drive off into the distance in their vintage Jaguar.
But on the bright side, Meghan's Givenchy gown, stunning tiara and 15ft silk tulle train more than make up for the Stella McCartney absence. Right?
