MEG-A NO NO

This is why you’ll likely never see Meghan Markle or Kate Middleton wearing orange

And it's nothing to do with royal protocol

FROM Alexander McQueen to Givenchy, boat necklines and chic pastel shades, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton's wardrobe choices are always spot on in the fashion department.

But while the Duchesses wear an array of different colours, from canary yellow to bright red, there's one shade they never choose.

According to the , Meghan and Kate never wear orange.

And while there's no royal protocol to say they can't, it's believed the bold shade doesn't photograph well.

Although Meghan was pictured wearing a string of pastel pink-coloured outfits earlier this year, the 37-year-old chose a striking Brandon Maxwell canary yellow pencil dress, worth £1,300, while attending the Your Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception in July.

It's believed The Duchess of Sussex often wears soft shades while attending events with the Queen, as a mark of respect to Her Maj - who regularly opts for bold colours.

For Prince Charles' 70th birthday celebration, Meghan wore a pale pink Goat dress and - celebrating another royal milestone - the Queen's 92nd birthday, Meghan opted for a pink off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress with button-up detail.

Kate meanwhile, often wears a range of colourful outfits, but is never seen in any shade of orange.

A few years ago, she stepped out in a showstopping scarlet Alexander McQueen dress at the Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

The 36-year-old often wears vibrant blues and greens, and recently chose a bright yellow Dolce & Gabbana dress for this year's Wimbledon final.
