Prince Charming or Prince Alarming? This fan theory has changed the way we see the 'romantic' film forever...
WE hate to be the bearer of bad news, especially when it comes to our beloved Disney movies.
But there's a new chilling Snow White fan theory doing the rounds on the internet and it's here to ruin your childhood.
Yes while all of us thought Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs had a typical fairytale happy ending (complete with a ride off into the sunset), one fan is now claiming that the opposite is true.
Commenting on a article, a fan with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the "real" Snow White story claims that the Disney heroine actually "dies at the end of the movie."
However, in order to sugarcoat the morbid ending for their young audiences, Disney has "done it in a way to look like a happy ending to little kids so they don't freak out."
And as we were just trying to make sense of this revelation, the fan then went on to claim that the hero Prince Charming is actually supposed to be "an angel of death."
Confused? Us too.
Backing up his seemingly bonkers theory, the fan argues that Snow White and the mysterious prince's first meeting coincides with her first brush with death. You know, when she's messing around near a well and almost falls in.
According to this diehard fan, "she gets her glimpse first at the prince when she gets her first glimpse at death."
Not to mention the fact that he's riding around on a white horse which "Death was often portrayed riding at the time" of the movie's release in 1937.
However, while we always thought true love's kiss brought Snow back to life at the end of the film, it now appears the Prince's gesture was actually something much more sinister.
Claiming that this supposed "angel of death" actually bestows a "kiss of death" on our age old-heroine, the fan argues that the Prince was actually taking "the breath of life" from Snow.
In other words, the reason the dwarfs don't go with Snow and her Prince/Angel of Death at the end of the movie is "because they're going somewhere the living can't follow."
And that idyllic golden castle on the horizon? The last shot of the film is actually Snow arriving in "heaven" rather than embarking on her new life as a princess.
Turns out the poison apple was the least of her worries....
For even more Disney theories, people have noticed this very weird thing about Disney's Cinderella and they're freaking out.
Plus this child's disturbing theory will change the way you watch Toy Story forever.
And is this the ultimate Disney fan theory? Proof that Tangled, Frozen and The Little Mermaid are linked AND Tarzan is the real prince of Frozen's Arendelle.
