From bling to downright weird, these celeb-owned items made a mint when flogged off at auction

You need to have the readies if you want to buy something once owned by a famous face

FANCY sticking your crockery in David Bowie’s cupboard or dozing in Patrick Swayze’s rocking chair?

You could do just that – because celeb stuff is always coming under the hammer. This week it emerged that Rod Stewart is flogging some of his bling furniture.

The rocker has cleared out his £4.6million Essex mansion and put up for sale items including a £250 leopard-print chair and a pair of 7ft mirrors for £3,000.

If you pop down to a saleroom, there is a good chance you can pick up something once owned by a famous face – if you have the readies, of course. So auction stations, everyone, as we look at some of the stars whose furniture has been up for grabs.
