'WHO IS BUYING THESE?!'

Fashion Nova baffles shoppers with ill-fitting black trousers that have ‘mosquito repellent’ panels

They've been compared to everything from a beekeeper's suit to a costume from The Matrix

WE'VE officially given up on summer, so we're packing up our floaty dresses and planning our autumn wardrobes.

Fashion Nova is helping us on our way, selling a range of cute trousers - but one pair seems to have caused quite a debate over on the brand's Instagram page.

The trews in question are a pair of baggy high-rise pants, made of satin material and featuring a jogger leg and statement zip detailing.

They're a little quirky, but sweats and high waists are in - so what do people have a problem with?

Well, they also feature mesh panels across the knees and lower leg, which are outlined with neon green piping.

The panels reach all the way around the legs

Some love that Fashion Nova is offering something unique, with many complimenting the trousers' 90s vibe.

Comments include: "90s feel," "Pants are cute," and "Beautiful!"

But unfortunately, there are also quite a few making fun of the combination of wide-fit legs and see-through insets.

One teased: "Is this a mosquito repellent pant?"

Others laughed: "Mosquito net chic," "What in the Matrix Reloaded?" and: "Sis looks like she's about to catch some bees."

If you're one of those who's taken a liking to the trousers, you can pick them up online for $37.99 (£29.89).

As Fashion Nova is an American site, you'll have to add on postage of $6 (£4.72) and they'll take five to seven business days to arrive.

Let's just hope you don't get chilblains through those panels, eh?

Fashion Nova has also unveiled a kinky range of bondage-inspired lingerie… but would YOU dare to wear it?
