Christopher Robin Milne was the son of author A.A Milne, the man behind the Winnie the Pooh books.
Born on August 21, 1920, in Chelsea, London he was the only child of Alan and Dorothy.
For his first birthday he received a Canadian honey bear teddy, which he named Winnipeg, which soon came to be Winnie the Pooh.
When father Alan Alexander bought a farm in Sussex, Christopher loved exploring the nearby meadows and woods with Pooh, and his other toys, Eeyore, Piglet, Kanga and Tigger.
These, and the locations around the farm were all big influences for the books.

After A.A Milne passed away, the rights were sold on to Disney and it grew massively from there.
