Mum ordered a monkey birthday cake for her daughter… and people think it looks VERY rude

The innocent design was modelled after the birthday girl's favourite toy monkey...

FROM organising entertainment to nailing those decorations, planning a child's birthday party is never as simple as it seems.

But one mum has had a more stressful experience than most after her daughter's professionally-made birthday cake came back looking... a little rude.

After ordering the monkey-themed cake from a local bakery, the desperate mum took to social media to ask for help salvaging the design.

Writing on a Facebook parenting group, the distraught mum explained: "I had this monkey made for my daughter's cake for her first birthday."

But what started as an adorable idea took an amusing turn when it came back looking "rude in various ways."

The bright blue fondant monkey is pictured wrapped around a strangely thin pink cylinder in the shape of a number one.

The panicked woman added: "I've been told he looks like a stoned monkey with his willy out!"

Clearly embarrassed over the design flaw, the mother said: "I can deal with friends and family over on Facebook being rude but not with family when I present the cake!"

Running out of time to salvage the design, the mum-of-two explained how she had already tried separating the monkey from the oddly-shaped "one" but he was seriously "stuck to the base" and his leg had fallen apart after she attempted to remove him.

In an attempt to fix the mishap, one mum suggested she "could make a little present to go between his legs?"

Another said she should "maybe try and flatten the 'one' out a bit so it's not as round."

On the plus side, at least the little birthday girl wouldn't know the difference...

And this isn't the first time an innocent birthday cake has gone awry, this amused mum shared a snap of her child's birthday cake topper which appears as a VERY rude word...

Plus these hilarious pictures show some of the worst ever birthday cake fails.

And this little girl who asked for a unicorn birthday cake got something very different...
